Auxiliary Accounts
Under a policy approved in 1998 by the IRMPPC, ITS provides UNIX, e-mail and electronic calendar accounts, on an incremental cost-recovery basis, to Cal Poly Corporation, ASI, Continuing Education, Parking and Housing (See ITS Cost Recovery Mechanisms Associated with Creation and Maintenance of UNIX Accounts: State Enterprise and Special Revenue Funds and Auxiliary Organizations, April 15, 1998).
Determination of appropriate staff is the responsibility of a designated individual in each of the affiliate organizations. These accounts will continue to be governed by the 1998 policy with the exception of the annual account charges. Costing for auxiliary accounts will be adjusted on an annual basis to reflect actual support costs (See Long-Term Cost Model). Accounts for these individuals are also generated when auxiliary staff are entered into the University HR system as authorized auxiliary employees.
