1. Who sees the private system specific details?
Only users with system status admin rights (currently all ITS Staff)

2. Who can save something as a pre-built message?
Anyone with administrative rights can create a prebuilt. They're easy to create and completely defined by users, so you can add/edit/delete them whenever you like. The key is that all prebuilts are shared (and can be used, edited and deleted) by all admins.

3. What services are in the "Other" drop down?
The "Other" dropdown is populated using the last ten distinct services previously entered by all users. This is a convenience feature; items entered as Other/(then typed) will appear the same as pre-populated items when viewed by end users.

4. Who gets the email when the check box is marked?
We are using the same email alias that was used by the old system status to start - it is an alias comprised of select ITS staff. The alias is maintained by Mary Shaffer in the office of the CIO.

5. How is something placed under the Scheduled Maintenance section?
Scheduled Maintenance is determined only on the date. If the start date (First Occurred/Start of Maintenance) is in the future, the announcement goes under Scheduled Maintenance. (All the Unplanned/Planned selection does is change the date labels from First Occurred, Next Update to Start of Maintenance, Anticipated Uptime.)

6. How long does a General Alert remain listed in the Administrative Channel?
General Alerts are removed when they are resolved and older than 10 days or if there are more than 20 events within the past 10 days, in which case the oldest advisories drop off the list.
