Audio and Web Conferencing Services
Need to host a webinar? Want to set up a teleconference? It's as easy as 1-2-3!
- Contact Events Scheduling at 6-5550 to schedule a room for your event.
- Contact the ITS Service Desk at 6-7000 to obtain an authorization code to allow you to call off campus phone numbers. Please allow 72 hours to process.
- Contact Media Distribution Services (MDS) to reserve a conference phone or laptop and projector, if needed.
Cal Poly Information Technology Services has identified two audio conference services.
Qwest Audio and Web Conferencing
Qwest is the more economical conferencing service. Qwest offers lower per minute rates, direct billing to P-Cards (rather than department phone bills), and no set-up fees. Registration to use the discounted Qwest services takes three to ten days.

To initiate Qwest services, you must request a Welcome Kit and sign up for P-Card billing. Complete the Conferencing Order Template (opens Microsoft Excel spreadsheet) and email it to frank.saraceno@qwest.com. The Welcome Kit will arrive in three to ten days.

Qwest offers web and audio conferencing at two different service levels.
- Reservationless – After initial registration, the self service account can be used on demand. This is the least expensive Audio Conference option.
- Reservation/Operator Assisted – After initial registration and with five hours advanced notice, an operator will help set up a conference service. A slightly higher per minute fee is charged.

AT&T TeleConference Services
AT&T services are more expensive than Qwest. Each call has a $15.00 setup fees and significantly higher per minute rates. Advanced registration is not required. Charges appear on the department telephone bill. P-Cards cannot be used.
To initiate an AT&T conference call, please contact AT&T by either visiting their AT&T TeleConference Services website or by calling 1.800.232.1234.
