Cellular Loan Program
The ITS Service Desk has a limited number of cellular phones available for loan to Cal Poly departments. A PeopleSoft chart field and approval from the department’s Telephone Coordinator are required.
Campus-only Ericsson PCS phones are also available for rent for $25.00 per month plus usage. They can be restricted to on-campus only if desired, in which case no usage fees would apply.
The phones available are Nokia 5125s and come with one standard wall charger. Nationwide service is available.
Rental fees are as follows:

| Cellular Telephone Loan - 8 to 14 days | $20.00 |
| Cellular Telephone Loan - 15 to 30 days | $25.00 |
Usage fees are as follows:
- All calls originating and terminating in California are $0.07 cents/minute
- Free Roaming and Long Distance for calls originating and terminating in CA.
- Voice mail and one-way text messaging included.
- $30.00 activation fee; minimum one year contract
- **Waived for two year agreements
- Loaner phones provided free of charge during repair of an activated phone.

- Roaming rates: $0.50 cents/minute outside of CA
- Call Forwarding rates:
- $0.20 cents/minute peak
- $0.15 cents/minute off-peak.

- Quick Connect Rate: $1.25 cents/minute
- Mobile to Mobile:
- 2500 included minutes per month per phone
- After that, standard airtime rates apply.
- Domestic Long Distance Charges:
- Time and distance sensitive rates varying from $0.02 cents to $0.40 cents/minute.
- International Long Distance:
- $1.00 per minute
